All members of the True Medicine Initiative (TMI) declare their support for the following statements, and declare that these statements form the foundation of their work in their respective field of profession.

1. Every human being is a sacred individual and therefore is to be treated with dignity, humility and respect.
2. Every member of TMI feels commited to their respective medical or professional tradition. This includes the willingness to further educate themselves if needed. All professional actions are taken with the utmost care, reflecting the best of one’s knowledge.
3. All applied medical or professional actions rely solely on the needs and the health of the patient or client. All harm is to be kept from them.

4. Every member of TMI declares his or her incorruptibility and impartiality. Every dishonest influence through third parties on the diagnostics, therapies or advice is unacceptable.
5. Every member of TMI declares humility in the face of human fallibility. As a consequence, all members are open to considering referring their patients to other professionals if the expected results are not achieved.
6. Every member of TMI acknowledges the value of every medical tradition or other profession that helps people to live a healthy life, cure illness and raise quality of life.

7. Every member of TMI declares to diagnose, treat and work completely free of any influence of current political or cultural movements or trends. Health and what is healthy does not change by the means of those influences.
8. Every member of TMI is open for and engages in the communication and cooperation between different medical traditions. Thereby, we enhance and deepen the understanding and respect between the different arts and approaches.
9. Every member of TMI is obligated to take care of his own mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing and health. This secures the ability to guide and accompany patients and clients with compassion and authenticity and is important for maintaining a state of clear awareness, thinking and discernment.
